The Little East Conference (LEC) All-Academic Team for the fall 2017 semester has been announced, and Eastern Connecticut State University is well represented. With 35 student-athletes named to the team this semester, including a record 13 members of the women's soccer team (the most by any institution in any sport), Eastern ranks second among conference institutions in honorees.
To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Composed by Gian Carlo Menotti in 1951, the opera tells the story of the Magi from the point of view of a young disabled boy named Amahl and his widowed mother.

The internship is usually related to the student's major or is directly related to the student's career interest. They often complement the student's coursework, can incorporate skills and classroom experience into the workplace and assist the student in developing new abilities and skills.
A sports talk show on student-run Ithaca College Television (ICTV) has won a prestigious College Television Award from the Television Academy Foundation. "Hold That Thought" took first place in the unscripted series category. Producers Jenna Harner, Jonah Restuccio and Amy Stiefel, and ICTV Sports Director Mike Kaminskas, each received awards for their work on the show.
